Kripalu Yoga

Kripalu Yoga

In Kripalu Yoga, yoga becomes a catalyst for physical healing, psychological development, and spiritual awakening. A Kripalu Yoga class gives you powerful tools to transform your own life as well as the lives of others. Kripalu is a challenging form of yoga which emphasizes breathwork (or pranayama), meditation and inward focus.  During your practice, you will learn the many facets of yoga, from asana and pranayama to the internal practice of stilling the mind and attuning to the subtle levels of the energy body. In Kripalu Yoga, knowledge comes not from words, but from rigorous practice and the experimentation of doing yoga.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga allows the body to fully surrender, creating space for total relaxation and stress reduction.  Through the use of various props, the body and the spirit are given permission to let go and just be.  The props allow you to maintain correct alignment as you surrender to the universe.  Asanas (poses) are usually held for a period of time to allow for a deep sense of relaxation.  Restorative Yoga is a beautiful way to unwind and rejuvenate.  Great for all levels.

This class will begin on September 18th.

Hatha Yoga

The word Yoga means “union,” and this class will unite the mind and body, as well as help to create peace in every part of your life. Hatha  itself translates to “sun and moon,” essentially meaning balance. You will learn postures and forms of breathing that will bring centering and relaxation. You will be challenged, but as always in yoga, a noncompetitive, positive energy surrounds the class— you are invited to go at your own pace and do what is right for your body.

Gentle Yoga

Relax, release & reduce stress.  Rejuvenate your body and mind as you sustain your energy. Learn to listen to your body as we move through gentle postures while using various breath techniques.

All levels welcome.

Sunrise Yoga

Rejuvenate your inner being and set your intentions for the day as the sun rises. Honor the new day with flowing movement, postures and breath work. All levels welcome.
